We were pleased to welcome a delegation from France to the Deaf Reach campus in Lahore, in a visit that encouraged meaningful exchange and offered an in-depth look at the organization’s approach to deaf education.
During their time on campus, members of the delegation engaged with students in classroom settings, observing how Pakistan Sign Language is used as the primary mode of communication and instruction. These interactions provided a closer understanding of how deaf students navigate their learning environment, as well as the role that accessible communication plays in building confidence, participation, and academic progress.
The visit also included a comprehensive tour of the campus, where the delegation was introduced to Deaf Reach’s educational framework and training initiatives, both of which are designed to support the long-term empowerment of the Deaf community. Through conversations with faculty and staff, the delegation gained insight into how curriculum development, teacher training, and skill-building programs are integrated to create a cohesive learning experience that extends beyond the classroom.
The visit was facilitated by the Pakistan Business Council France, whose efforts in arranging the engagement reflect an ongoing commitment to strengthening connections that support social impact initiatives. Their role in bringing international stakeholders into closer dialogue with local institutions continues to open avenues for collaboration and shared learning.
